On this International Transgender Day of Visibility, I want to be loud and clear: trans rights are human rights. As your state senator, I will fight against those trying to silence trans and LGBTQIA+ voices, those trying to take away gender-affirming healthcare especially for youth, and those trying to erase work already done towards equality under the law.
